Beginner / Intro Program
Our Beginner / Intro program is the perfect way to experience the sport if you are new to Boxing. With Beginner classes offered 6 days a week, this program allows you to learn properly in a welcoming, and supportive atmosphere.
If you like, you can take a trial class for $30 and apply the cost to a membership or class pack when you decide to join. Gloves will be provided for the trial lesson.
This is a great way to get a feel for the gym and our instructors.
What You'll Learn in Class
Our Beginner / Intro class is 50 minutes long and is designed for those with little to no experience. We'll teach you the foundational elements of boxing, which offer both physical and mental benefits.
Stance and Foundation
You'll learn the proper boxing stance on day one. We cover the key fundamentals:
- Punching: You'll learn the basic punches—the jab, the cross, the hook, and the uppercut—and practice them in drills to create punch combinations.
- Defense: We'll teach you fundamental defensive techniques, including blocking, slipping, bobbing, and weaving.
- Footwork: You'll improve your movement, balance, and coordination through specific drills like jumping rope.
Drills and Conditioning
Your trainer will work with you on a bag to develop different skills, such as punching faster and harder. You'll also work on core strength and conditioning, as a strong core is essential for power and balance.

Our Beginner / Intro lessons are located on the border of Hudson Yards and Hell’s Kitchen in NYC and are tailored to your individual fitness level. You'll sweat, learn, and excel alongside new friends.
