Isaac

Trainer

A former member of the Trinidadian national boxing team, Isaac is always a gym favorite.

At 6’5″and 250 lbs, Isaac is definitely not someone you want to get in a ring with, but he is someone you want as your trainer. He is highly knowledgeable and is committed to bringing out the best in everyone he trains. Isaac tailors each session to help clients achieve their health and fitness goals through challenging yet enjoyable workouts. Isaac is a USA Boxing-certified coach. He is available for private and small group training, as well as our Intro to Boxing program and group classes.

Kristian

Trainer

When you’re of Filipino and Irish heritage and raised in Australia, a passion for boxing runs through your veins. Kristian’s unique style and approach to training draws inspiration from rhythm, movement, and technical boxing styles from all around the world. Kristian brings an enormous amount of energy to everything that he does. When training others, he pays special attention to developing coordination, speed development, and overall athleticism. His classes are fast fast-paced, fun, and you will learn the finer points of boxing, especially the lost art of footwork and movement.

Susan

Trainer

Susan has over 20 years of experience in fight sports including Boxing & Muay Thai. She is a former Metro Champion as well as NY Daily News Golden Gloves Champion. She has competed and coached on the local & national level as well as on the European stage.

She has boxed as an honorary firefighter, representing FDNY Bravest Boxing, and is currently a volunteer coach for the Team.

Susan’s contribution to Women’s Professional Boxing came as the first, professional female boxing bout contested at six, 3-minute rounds in the State of New York. Her boxing philosophy: If you aren’t having fun, then you are doing it all wrong!

Justin

Trainer

Justin Bakal is the newest member of the Victory Boxing Club Team. Justin recently retired from the armed forces after a distinguished career in the US Army. First in the 82nd Airborne and then in the 10th Special Forces group.

In addition to serving multiple tours of duty throughout the world during his 20-year career, Justin was also an instructor at the Special Forces Qualification course in Ft. Bragg, N.C. Justin’s boxing training started in Brooklyn with his father as his trainer. After joining the army, he began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA as well.

Justin has the ability to break down complex moves into simple actionable steps so that everyone that he trains, regardless of experience, feels confident in their abilities.
